Gölbaşı District National Education Directorate

Our organization under the Ministry of National Education and situated in the provincial organization that conducts national education service is a public institution.It is the local authority responsible for education. Golbasi National Education comprises 39 primary schools, 36 secondary schools, 36 high schools and several institutions dealing with adult education, special needs education. There are 3300 teachers and 34.500 students.

Some of our services and tasks are listed below.

Our institution has services such as; Education services, Primary Education Services, Secondary Education Services, Vocational and Technical Training Services, Religious Education Services, Special Training and Counselling Services, Data Processing and Education Technologies Services, Development of Strategy Services etc.

Some roles which we carry out are: to provide the implementation of curricular practices, to prepare guide books of practice, to make offers to the ministry so as to develop the education service.

In a collaboration with the relevant departments to transform the project and research results into sustainable processes of work by directing to new implementations.

  • Carrying out the use of textbooks, teaching internal and educational tools and utensils, ensuring their effective use.
  • Working towards educational promotion and improvement.
  • Ensuring the efficiency of the conduct of educational services.
  • Doing research and development and field studies for students and educational intuitions.
  • Enhancing the environment of moral education, school and corporate culture and learning process.
  • Developing projects related to education , implementing and benefiting from the results.

  • Carrying out the necessary business and operations in collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders in education.
  • Developing an effective process involving students and parents.
  • Conducting studies to develop students’ sense of belonging to educational institutions, reporting the results.
  • Conducting a study on educational services to students with disabilities.
  • Ensuring the dissemination of the use of IT networks.
  • Conducting quality improvement activities on training at research development and strategic planning.
  • Preparing projects about education and carrying about them.
  • Conducting studies on Project preparation and execution capacity of the developer of educational institutions for District of national education directorates.
  • Implementing training programs in candidacy and adapting prospective teachers.
  • Doing in service training that improves the level of competence and job performance of teachers.
  • Monitoring national and international developments.Making and implementing projects and research about teacher’s professional development.

Consultations to schools and institutions are carried out. Referenced similar national projects are carried out for this project, and we as a local authority responsible for education in our schools and follow the guidance in this regard, the need for training briefings, seminars and conferences are organized.

In our district for the tasks listed above studies are carried out in accordance with a certain business calendar.

Socio-cultural activities, in-service training activities , ceremonies, meetings, local, national and international projects ( values education , culture, flag project , a national science fair projects, national mathematics and science studies projects, debate competitions, theater festivals and so on. ) , Many studies are conducted and monitored .

  • The project “Parents Corner” (project to increase school parent cooperation) (www.parentscorner.eu) for the 2015 Erasmus + School Education Strategic Partnership project. In addition, within the scope of the 2015 Strategic Partnership Project, es IMPROVET ET project was also carried out. (Www.improvet.eu). In addition to international projects, local and national projects are being carried out and schools are supported for project-based work.

The Research and Development Unit organizes teacher trainings within the scope of the capital teacher workshops project for our schools to receive education in accordance with the innovative digital age, enables the creation of new workshops in our schools within the scope of the Design and Skill Workshops project, trips are organized for students and teachers in our schools in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders TEKNOKENT, TÜRKSAT and Trainings are given for innovation, trainings are provided to participate in TÜBİTAK Science Fairs and High Schools project competitions, trainings are organized for students in software and coding, programming, in cooperation with universities, WEB 2 Tools, Coding trainings are provided. Our Directorate carries out its works in line with the MEB 2023 Education Vision.

Semiha ÖZKUL works at the Research and Development Department of our institution. She has a 22 years experience in teaching. With her 8 year experience in the Research and Development Unit, she has worked on numerous national and international projects. Has experience in application of writing projects.

She worked as project coordinator in Erasmus School Education and Vocational Education Strategic Partnership projects in 2015-2018. (Parents Corner-2015-1-PL01-KA201-016992 and İmproVET 2015-1-ES01-KA202-015976)

Within the scope of the Financial Support Program and Technical Support Program of Ankara Development Agency, she wrote projects and accepted projects. She has conducted two technical support programs. The projects she applied for were accepted.

Has ICT skills. Has creative writing skills. Projects that are funded by EU. She has a broad experience in terms of project preparation. She has creative writing and ICT skills. The institution Project Cycle Management Training, Values Education has written projects and project issues were considered by the regional agency. Strengthening the social development of infrastructure projects have written the science and art based training center project has been accepted by the regional agency. Erasmus is conducting two projects, including school education and vocational training (Parents Corner-2015-1-PL01-KA201-016992 and İmproVET 2015-1-ES01-KA202-015976). She attended a course on the Development of the Remote Teaching, Designing and Management Skills of Teachers Within the Framework of Inclusive Education. She is currently conducting a national project on  Robotics Coding and innovation.

Seza Gamze ATAK is an English teacher working at Gölbaşı Anatolian High School with 25 years of experience in the profession. She participated in many in-service training courses and gained professional experience. She is the founder and director of the MUN (Model United Nations) Club at Gölbaşı Anatolian High School. The students and administrators involved in the said club have won numerous awards. She has also been involved in the Erasmus projects conducted by Gölbaşı District Directorate of National Education for the past 5 years. Throughout this period, she was involved in projects such as Parents Corner and ImproVET, which were conducted by the Gölbaşı District Directorate of National Education.

For the past 3 years, she has been writing KA-101 projects on behalf of her institution. She participated in the writing process of the project conducted by Gölbaşı District Governorship and presented to the Development Agency. In addition to working as an English teacher, she is actively serving as part of the project team at the District National Education Directorate and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, while also actively taking part in eTwinning projects.
